Our Mission

The Mission of The Institute to Transform Senior Life is to transform the current ineffective, very expensive medical model for elderly care to an efficient, cost effective, consumer- driven process by:

1.      Encouraging and developing new technologies that can assist individuals to remain in the living environment of their choosing (including their own home if they desire) and still maintain a satisfactory quality of life

2.      Encouraging and developing the creation of new types of living environments  (i.e. Greenhouses and elder-friendly communities) where the seniors’ concerns and desires are paramount

3.      Working to remove legal barriers that hinder getting new products to market

4.      Assisting vendors in testing their new products in one of our demonstration sites. Then working with the vendors to get those new products to the marketplace for purchase by the senior community

5.      Actively distributing information about the new technologies and the new environments to the general public through a wide variety of media

6.      Continually reminding the governmental and private sectors not only of the dangers ahead, but also provide creative, cost efficient, effective solutions to alleviate those dangers
